L'8a della Falesia Dimenticata, e che tiro!
Chiodato Guido Dalfovo ora scalatore da 9a, il “Caiva” , soprannominato così dai suoi amici per il suo tifo sfrenato per lo sciatore Toshihiro Kaiwa, che gareggiava in coppa del mondo negli anni '80 nel periodo in cui dominavano Stemmark ed i fratelli americani Phil e Steve Mhare.
Il tiro chiodato dal “Caiva” venne liberato poi da Rolando Larcher.Nella rivisitazione e chiodatura del terzo millennio è stato ri-liberato da Gianluca “Jean” Paoli ed è ancora in attesa della prima salita a vista!
CURIOSITÀ
Saddam Hussein il famoso dittatore Iracheno, giustiziato nel 2003 da uno speciale tribunale Iracheno destituito dal potere durante la seconda guerra del golfo.
Nel periodo in cui la Falesia Dimenticata venne scoperta eravamo in piena Guerra del Golfo e Saddam Hussein ne fu il protagonista in negativo, invadendo nel 1990 il vicino Kuwait, per via dei sui giacimenti di petrolio. Poteva Bush stare alla finestra a guardare?
OLD ROUTE
The Forgotten Crag’s 8a, what a pitch! Bolted by Guido Dalfovo who now climbs 91, “Caiva”, known by his friends for his enthusiastic cheering for the skier Toshihiro Kaia who used to compete during the 80’s in the world cup during the period when Stenmark and the American brothers Phil and Steve Mhare dominated the races.
The pitch bolted by “Caiva” was freed by Rolando Larcher. When the route was re-bolted recently it was re-freed by Gianluca “Jean” Paoli and it is still waiting for the first on sight ascent!
HIGHLIGHT:
Salam Hussein the famous Iraqi dictator, executed in 2003 by a special Iraqi tribunal and removed from office during the second war in the Gulf. When we discovered the Forgotten Crag we were living through the years of the Gulf War and Saddam Hussein was the negative main character, invading Kuwait in 1990, for its oil. Could Bush sit at a window and just watch?
